My friend Damocles got my mother an appointment with the department head of spell damage last Saturday, since she still hadn't remembered anything about the supposed fight she had with my dad the night that he went missing. He says it looks like there might be some obliviation damage that no one noticed the other times we were in there, and I guess if anyone would know, it's the guy in charge of the floor. I think at least I'm sort of relieved that it wasn't Imperius, which is what I thought that it might've been, because that would mean that there wouldn't be a chance of her still being under it.

However, that would mean that it definitely is something fishy that's up with my dad. Just     keeping everybody posted and informed. Have we figured out anything about that really odd cloud that was over Hestia's house yet?

Eric want me (and you, all things considered) to sign up for this Ministry security bullshit thing. There was flailing involved, and it is both frightening and disturbing to watch my brother flail. I assume the Order DMLE people will know how it's done and even if one of them aren't the ones who would set it up for us, they could come check to be sure that there's nothing fishy going on with them afterwards, yeah?

It's really bloody annoying having family who believe that the Ministry is a beacon of trust and honesty after you find out that it's totally not that way at all.

Poltergeist clearing tomorrow. I think they multiply this time of year. We've gotten a few ridiculously ragey ones recently. Makes me miss Peeves.

Roy keeps talking about going haunted housing. It's kind of a bummer that it takes a lot of the thrill out of it when you work with actual ghosts every day, and these "haunted houses" end up only being muggles in masks running around cornfields with plastic chainsaws.

Maybe I should go skydiving instead.

Hi.

My dad's missing. He's been gone since Wednesday morning. I contacted the DMLE and did everything I think that people would do normally if they weren't aware that there is apparently a huge conspiracy going on in the Ministry, but Fabian said I should tell you guys all too.

He didn't show up to work on Wednesday, which is completely unlike him, so I went down the the DoM and mum wasn't at work either, so during my lunch break I stopped over at their house. The wards were down and mum was laying there all Petrified and dad was gone. Mum just kept repeating over and over again that they'd had a fight, and was really panicked and shaken up, but it's been four days and she still has no idea what the fight had been about. And my dad would never have done that to her, no matter how bad of a fight it was or wasn't.




He's a muggleborn. I had been so distracted that I hadn't thought about it.


Also I don't know if this could be connected or not (I don't think it is, but it's still strange) but I got a cat and this really hideous doll owled to me about a week and a half ago, but there's nothing wrong with them. I checked.

Hi. First of all I want to thank you both for having us over last night and helping us out with everything, since I know you're both really busy with work and your son.

I was wondering, though, if either of you get a chance sometime this next week if you'd possibly be able to help me out with some extra practice on the spell from last night.
